{"id":40,"date":"2019-09-03T21:13:21","date_gmt":"2019-09-03T21:13:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sson.is\/selfoss-chess-festival\/?page_id=40"},"modified":"2019-11-06T07:47:41","modified_gmt":"2019-11-06T07:47:41","slug":"tournament-rules","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/sson.is\/selfoss-chess-festival\/tournament-rules\/","title":{"rendered":"Tournament Rules"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>FIDE rules apply<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, We will enforce Article 6.7.1 in the following manner: Any player who arrives at the chessboard after the default time \u2013 30 minutes \u2013 shall lose the game unless<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">the arbiter decides otherwise.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The players are not allowed to offer a draw to their opponent before <\/span><b>twenty (20) moves<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> have been completed by both players in the classical games.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Electronic device\/mobile phones<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (Articles 11.3.2.1,2,3): During a game, <\/span><b>a player is forbidden to have a mobile phone<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, electronic means of communication or any device<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">capable of suggesting chess moves on their person in the playing venue. However, such devices can be stored in a player\u2019s bag, as long as the device is <\/span><b>completely switched<\/b><b><br \/>\n<\/b><b>off.<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0 A player is<\/span><b> forbidden to carry a bag holding such a device<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, without permission of the arbiter. If it is evident that a player has such a device on their person in the playing <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">venue, <\/span><b>the player shall lose the game<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.
